Training of medical personnel in the relevant specialities:
- Development of professional standards;
- Development and implementation of specialized educational programmes for residency, postgraduate studies, further training and professional retraining.
Research and practical activities in the field of R&D:
- Participation in scientific alliances with leading national research and practice centres to develop and validate state-of-the-art techniques and comprehensive medical rehabilitation programmes;
- Development of conceptual approaches to solving the problems of health improvement of the working population, selection and justification of the main areas of preventive measures in health resort institutions;
- Identify the needs of practical health care for innovative products and technologies;
- Development of international cooperation for the purposes of experience exchange, adoption of the world's best practices in the field of rehabilitation and balneology.
The Centre offers a combination of various classical and innovative rehabilitation techniques, unique in the Russian Federation, based on clinical experience of applying modern scientific achievements.
Educational and Methodological Centre of "NMRC RB" provides training in residency, postgraduate studies, as well as professional retraining and further training programmes. The Educational and Methodical Centre has a dissertation council that accepts theses for the PhD and MD degrees in speciality 14.03.11 - Rehabilitation Medicine, Sports Medicine, Exercise Therapy, Balneology and Physiotherapy in the field of medical, psychological and biological sciences.
“NMRC RB’' of the Ministry of Health of Russia has its own Test Centre of natural therapeutic resources, which jointly with other structural subdivisions takes an active part in the development of scientific fundamentals of the study and rational use of natural therapeutic resources and scientific and practical recommendations for their use in medical practice.
“NMRC RB’' maintains international scientific and business relations, organizes scientific forums, congresses, conferences and exhibitions in Russia and abroad.
"Russia" sanatorium focuses on rehabilitation and effective treatment in the following areas: diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, musculoskeletal system and connective tissue, metabolic disorders (diabetes mellitus).
The territory of the sanatorium has an area of 7.4 hectares. All the buildings are linked by covered and heated walkways. "Russia" sanatorium is designed to accommodate 400 people.
I.M. Sechenov Sanatorium has many years of experience in providing professional medical care to people suffering from diseases common today - gastrointestinal tract, liver and biliary tract, metabolic disorders (diabetes mellitus, obesity).
In addition to core diseases, the sanatorium treats patients with a number of concomitant pathologies: musculoskeletal apparatus, genitourinary sphere, cardiovascular, nervous and respiratory systems.
The key therapeutic specialization of “Kavkaz” Sanatorium is the treatment of adults with diseases of the circulatory and respiratory organs, as well as functional diseases of the nervous system, musculoskeletal system, gastrointestinal tract.

- Kidney and urological diseases;
- Metabolic disorders;
- Medical and diagnostic building.
“Vulan” Sanatorium and Resort Complex is a multidisciplinary medical institution specializing in providing health resort treatment services for children and adults with diseases of the nervous system, respiratory organs, musculoskeletal disorders, cardiovascular diseases (adults only). We also provide assistance in medical rehabilitation.
The complex can accommodate 300 patients. It is open all year round; children are accepted for sanatorium treatment from the age of 4 accompanied by their parents or legal representatives.
"Kurortnaya Bolnitsa" Treatment and Rehabilitation Clinical Centre is a branch “National Medical Research Centre for Rehabilitation and Balneology” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
The scope and objectives of activities of the Branch are as follows:
— medical care, including specialized medical care, for adults suitable for the profile of the Branch: diseases of cardiovascular, pulmonary, nervous, endocrine systems;
— health resort medical care and rehabilitation of adults for the profile of the Branch: diseases of cardiovascular, pulmonary, nervous, endocrine systems.
