Department of medical rehabilitation of patients with
CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM DISORDERS

Modern methods, new rehabilitation technologies, evidence-based medicine, attention to patients and their loved ones - these are the main principles of work in our department

We rehabilitate people with various motor problems, primarily those caused by brain disorders. These are patients after strokes, brain injuries and neurosurgical operations.

We provide care for neurological patients with diseases of the central nervous system - primarily those caused by brain disorders.

Rehabilitation after:

  • ischaemic and haemorrhagic stroke;
  • subarachnoid haemorrhage;
  • patients with the consequences of craniocerebral trauma;
  • after neurosurgical operations on the brain and spinal cord;
  • after inflammatory diseases of the central nervous system.

Each programme is tailored individually, depending on the patient's needs.

We offer procedures of different range and orientation:

  • Physical therapy (Movement therapy is a fundamental method of modern rehabilitation);
  • Occupational therapy (Restores a person's skills for everyday activities);
  • Speech therapy (Speech therapist and neuropsychologist work with one of the most common problems in brain disorders).

Balanced 5 meals a day. The menu of the rehabilitation centre is dietary and meets all the needs of our patients. Regular health monitoring. The patients of the department are under round-the-clock supervision by the trained staff.

Nurses take blood pressure, pulse and blood sugar levels and give injections. Every day, the attending physician examines the patient, monitors the progress of general indicators and adjusts the treatment plan.

Professional care. The nurses (paid) of the Central Nervous System Department take care of patients with special needs 24/7: help with turning over, changing clothes, changing nappies and transport them to procedures.

Thanks to the professionalism of neurologists of the department, exercise therapists, physiotherapists and their coordinated work, as well as the highest qualification of the nursing staff and the experience of exercise therapy instructors, our staff manages to achieve positive results even in the most difficult cases.

Admission to our department is possible through the following channels:

  • routine admission on referral from the polyclinic at the place of residence, 057/y form;
  • transfers from city hospitals for early rehabilitation;
  • high-tech medical care (during one year after a stroke).

In addition to drug treatment and physiotherapeutic methods, the following equipment is used to rehabilitate patients: biofeedback devices "ARMEO", "ProKin", "Stabilan", "COBS", "C-mill", "DAVID", "THERA-Vital", robotic mechanotherapy on devices "Arthromot", "IMITRON", "ExoAtlet"; various methods of balneotherapeutic treatment, acupuncture, massage, individual or group exercise therapy sessions in the gym and the swimming pool, manual therapy, sessions with a neuropsychologist and an occupational therapist.

Exercise therapy for patients with various neurological diseases. Such classes are conducted by an instructor and methodologist who develops individual rehabilitation programmes using exercises to develop fine motor skills, increase the volume of movement and muscle strength in paralyzed limbs, and improve coordination of movement.

As a result of well-coordinated work of all units of the rehabilitation complex, we help our patients to return to active life. Along with therapeutic measures, scientific research is carried out to create new highly effective methods for the treatment of these diseases.
