Department of medical rehabilitation of patients with
somatic diseases

The department focuses on medical rehabilitation of patients with circulatory system diseases in the following areas:

  • conditions after surgery on the heart and main arteries:
    • aortocoronary and mammary-coronary bypass surgery;
    • operations for surgical correction of cardiac valve pathology and surgical remodeling of the left ventricle;
    • conditions after surgical interventions on the aorta, brachiocephalic arteries, lower limb arteries (aortic prosthesis, carotid endarterectomy, lower limb artery bypass surgery);
    • percutaneous intervention (angioplasty and stenting of coronary, brachiocephalic and lower limb arteries).
  • conditions after invasive treatment of cardiac rhythm disorders (implantation of a pacemaker, implantable cardioverter defibrillator, conditions after radiofrequency ablation, cryoablation, Maze procedure, thoracoscopic treatment of rhythm disorders).

The department has developed and runs the following rehabilitation programmes for patients:

  • conditions after heart, aorta, brachiocephalic arteries, lower limb arteries;
  • conditions after invasive treatment of heart rhythm disorders (implantation of a pacemaker, implantable cardioverter defibrillator, conditions after RFA);
  • conditions after percutaneous intervention (angioplasty and stenting of coronary, brachiocephalic arteries, lower limb arteries);
  • osteoporosis;
  • post-mastectomy syndrome.

A multidisciplinary team of specialists selects comprehensive rehabilitation programmes taking into account individual features of the course of the disease, the degree of functional impairment, concomitant pathology of other organs and systems.
