ROBOTS

Robotic mechanotherapy is an innovative method of rehabilitation and recovery.

It is used to restore walking skills, functions of the upper and lower limbs of patients with various diseases of the musculoskeletal apparatus and central nervous system.

The advantage of robotic therapy is that it achieves the best possible training result due to the following factors:

  • Increased duration of exercise;
  • High precision cyclic repetitive movements;
  • Unvarying uniform training programme;
  • Existence of evaluation tools to assess the effectiveness of the exercises performed and the possibility to show it to the patient.

The results showed that patients who underwent recovery using robotic mechanotherapy were able to live independent and active lives.

"Yudino" treatment and rehabilitation clinical centre offers individual courses of mechanotherapy using various biofeedback simulators:

  • COBS;
  • ARMEO-Spring;
  • Stabilan;
  • Sensory walkway.

Sensory walkway

The main purpose of the treadmill was to train astronauts, pilots and athletes. Gradually, highly specialized fitness equipment became available to almost everyone.

The most immediate purpose of rehabilitation treadmills is to restore walking skills and musculoskeletal functions in case of injuries, amputations, prosthetics, fractures, rheumatic diseases, in post-surgery period. Suspensions are widely used to develop and improve the functions of the musculoskeletal apparatus.

Early rehabilitation is of great importance when a person's independent physical activity is limited. Such training significantly reduces the period of recovery of the musculoskeletal system functions.

Built-in force platforms and software containing motion study protocols allow real-time acquisition and comparison of operational data on motion characteristics (stride length, stride frequency, time between foot touches, foot push-off force, and gait symmetry) and saving them in the patient database in a convenient form for study purposes.

Rehabilitation is not limited to the use of a single treadmill: in many cases, several types of physiotherapy are used simultaneously.

COBS

Our toolkit includes COBS multifunctional system for coordination, balance and strength training.

The training process is monitored by the programme, which provides constant graphic and audio cues to ensure that the exercises are performed correctly. This dual feedback ensures maximum results of the exercises.

Exercise parameters are set individually and the process is clearly documented, enabling the results of the rehabilitation measures to be evaluated.

Due to its universal measurement capability and unique training software, COBS system can be used in the following areas:

  • Prevention and treatment of neurological diseases:
    In neurology, COBS system offers amazing possibilities for training and neuromuscular exercising in the recovery of post-stroke, Parkinson's disease patients. Some exercises can be performed while seated.
  • Orthopaedic rehabilitation and traumatology:
    In orthopaedics, COBS is used for rehabilitation after injuries, joint endoprosthetics, and back pain. It helps to improve proprioceptive sensitivity, achieve stability in the joint, improve coordination and the ability to adequately force the movement.

COBS can be used to evaluate physical impairments in movement and identify specific improvements in various skills such as coordination, balance and strength.

Armeo

ARMEO is an advanced smart simulator!

It is an effective tool for restoring motor skills of the upper limbs and correcting coordination of movement through play activities.

The simulator allows patients with an injured hand to develop and strengthen motor and grasping functions.

It is an indispensable exerciser for upper limb dysfunctions of various etiologies:

  • Post-stroke conditions;
  • Parkinsonism;
  • Multiple sclerosis;
  • Encephalopathy;
  • Joint pathology;
  • Joint replacement with a prosthetic joint;
  • Musculoskeletal disorders;
  • Consequences of craniocerebral trauma;
  • Spinal trauma;
  • Development of the upper limb after orthopaedic-surgical treatmentлечения.

Specially designed intensive and functional training programmes, which include motivating tasks and games, make the exercises more engaging and exciting, which will make the rehabilitation process more effective.
